Australian Government support

The Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) also has a number of programs and services that support people with disability.

Access to mental health specialists via Medicare

Medicare provides up to 12 rebates per calendar year for appointments with mental health professionals (conditions apply).

Disability support for veterans

The Australian Department of Veterans' Affairs provides some types of disability support to veterans, returned and current service members of the Australian defence forces and their families.
