The practice test covers:
- 10 give way questions
- 20 road rule questions.
The questions are like the questions on the real test. They’re randomly generated and will change each time you take a practice test.
The practice test does not contribute towards getting a licence.

How to take a road rules practice test
You can only take the practice road rules test online.
Step 1: Choose the road rules practice test
You’ll need to choose the type of practice test you want to take. For the road rules practice test, select General test.
Then, you’ll need to accept the terms of use.
Step 2: Complete the practice test
The questions in the practice test are like the real test questions, but they won’t be the same.
After you answer a question, we’ll:

- explain the correct answer.
At the end of the practice test, you’ll get a score to help you understand if you’re ready to take the real test.
How long it takes
The test will take 20 to 30 minutes to complete. There is no time limit to complete the practice test.
