Sport Venues Conditions of Entry

Persons entering our venues consent to and agree to comply with all following Conditions of Entry. Failure to adhere to these Conditions of Entry may result in patrons being removed from the venue.

Prohibited items

The following must not be brought into our venues:

  • Aerosol cans, crockery, cans, flares, smoke bombs, explosives, open flames, cooking equipment, glassware, weapons or offensive implements (knives, screwdrivers etc.), fireworks, firearms, replica firearms, flares, laser pointers or any other object that management considers may cause harm to any person.
  • Animals, except service dogs while accompanying a person with the purpose of support, copies of certification to be provided upon entry.
  • Loud hailers, megaphones, and musical instruments of any nature (including horns, whistles, and drums), unless with prior management written approval.
  • Any item that could be used as a projectile or could create litter - e.g., large inflatable items, streamers, confetti, shredded paper, tickertape.
  • Bicycles, mini scooters, roller blades, roller skates, skateboards or similar, and must not be used within this venue.
  • Drones, model airplanes or other electronic or motorised flying devices, cannot be used in this venue without prior management written approval.
  • Prohibited or illegal substances.
  • Electrical appliances without current electrical test and tag.
  • Commercial food (commercial food is any food purchased from external sources, including recognisable commercial food outlets or food provided by external caterers).
  • Any item, which in the opinion of management has the potential to cause injury or harm to another patron or has the potential to cause damage to the venue and its facilities.

Disorderly behaviour/security measures

Management reserves the right to, in its sole discretion:

  • Refuse entry to any person, or remove any person, from this venue, deemed by management to be affected by alcohol or drugs, or acting in a disorderly, dangerous or disruptive manner.
  • Search any bag, container, pram, item of clothing or persons for prohibited items. Persons who refuse such inspections or searches may be denied entry or removed from the venue.
  • Confiscate prohibited or illegal items, with non-dangerous items available for collection on departure from the venue.
  • Involve the Queensland Police Service (QPS) or other enforcement agencies as required.
  • Eject any person from this venue for any reason, including for not complying with these Conditions of Entry and/or refusing any reasonable requests from management or any hirer.

General requirements

  • The right of admission to this venue is reserved. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or remove or evict any person from this venue.
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear (at the discretion of Management) must be always worn within this venue. Management may refuse entry or remove any person, if in the opinion of management, they are wearing or displaying inappropriate or unauthorised commercial, political or offensive images, logos etc or whose attire may cause a hazard or compromise safety.
  • Smoking (including vapes and e-cigarettes) and gambling anywhere in this venue, or within 10 meters of the venue boundary is always prohibited.
  • Alcohol must not be brought into the venue or served in the venue unless there has been prior approval from management. Any alcohol purchased or served in the venue must be consumed in designated areas and must not be taken outside the venue.
  • All facilities are to be left clean and tidy. Any damage or identified risk must be reported immediately to management. You may be charged for any damages and/or breakages incurred, or additional cleaning required as a result.
  • Persons under the age of 13 years (the minor) must be under the direct supervision of a guardian or parent (responsible person) over 18 years of age.
  • This responsible person must always maintain effective control and care of the minor while in this venue.
  • Any injuries or incidents occurring in this venue must be reported immediately to management.
  • Exit doors and exit routes must always remain clear and free from obstruction. Patrons must not interfere with any smoke detector or fire safety equipment. Fines apply and will be payable by patrons for any false alarm activations.

Public health directions

  • Persons may be denied entry if they have not complied with the relevant directions of the Queensland Government Chief Health Officer’s under the Public Health Act 2005 (Qld).

Media, photography and recording equipment

To ensure patron privacy is maintained:

  • Patrons are not permitted to take photographs or videos of other patrons without their express consent.
  • Any commercial media entering this venue, must have prior approval from management.

CCTV surveillance systems

This Venue is fitted with CCTV surveillance systems and persons may be filmed in any area of the venue, including upon entry and exit. The following conditions apply:

  • CCTV surveillance will only be used for the purpose of patron, staff and venue asset safety and security, to monitor behaviour where deemed necessary and, where appropriate, to monitor activities conducted or performed within the venue.
  • Footage collected will not be disclosed to any external organisation except where authorised or required by law or with your consent.
  • CCTV surveillance footage will be kept in accordance with the Public Records Act 2002 which is generally for 30-90 days or when the last business use is completed.

Vehicle entry and parking

  • Onsite parking is for approved customers only, in designated bays.
  • Any vehicle parked in gateways or in designated no parking/standing zones will be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • All parking is solely at the driver’s/owner’s risk.

Patrons use the venue at their own risk

  • Some sporting and adventure activities are dangerous. Persons entering and using this venue and its facilities do so at their own risk.
  • Patrons are responsible for ensuring the security of any personal items brought into this venue.
  • To the extent permitted by law, the State of Queensland is not responsible (including for negligence) for any personal injury or other loss sustained by persons; or
  • any damage to, loss or theft of any personal items.

Areas off limits

Patrons are not to enter the following areas unless authorised by management:

  • Accommodation areas.
  • Any activity element or facility outside of published hours of operations unless a staff member is in attendance.
  • Any offices, equipment or storage areas.
  • Any kitchens and other restricted areas as signed.

Your privacy

  • Management is collecting your personal information (including via CCTV in and around the venue and event precinct) for the purpose of venue security, public safety and enforcing these Conditions of Entry and for the purposes of the policies and procedures of the Manager, including the banning policy.
  • Management collects, uses, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games’s Information and Privacy Plan.
  • Without limiting this, by entering the venue, each person acknowledges and consents to Management collecting, using, and disclosing their personal information and CCTV footage.
