Restorative justice for youth

Part of the Sentences for youth offenders topic

A restorative justice conference is a voluntary meeting between a youth (aged 10 to 17) who has committed a crime and the people most affected by that crime.

A youth may:

  • be referred to a restorative justice process
  • receive a restorative justice order that requires them to participate in a restorative justice conference.

See Restorative justice conference for youth on the Department of Youth Justice and Victims Support website.
