Expanding the DFV support helpline

The Queensland Government is doubling the capacity of the 24/7 domestic and family violence (DFV) helplines across the state.

DVConnect is the organisation that runs a statewide Mensline and a 24/7 Womensline for confidential support.

DVConnect answers 283* calls a day on average, connecting many callers with services on the ground across the state.

The Queensland Government expansion includes a new regional 24/7 helpline and hub in Townsville, to bring more support and resources to that region.

This will also provide more direct support for regional DFV organisations to help victim-survivors with their needs.

DVConnect Womensline (24/7): call 1800 811 811.

DVConnect Mensline (9am to midnight, 7 days): call 1800 600 636.
