Housing assistance to help you recover
As a participant in the Resilient Homes Fund, you may be eligible for financial help and temporary accommodation to support your recovery.
If you had to leave your home as a result of any of the following events other help may be available:
- Central Southern and Western Queensland Rainfall and Flooding (10 November 2021– 3 December 2021)
- Ex- Cyclone Seth (29 December 2021 – 10 January 2022)
- South-East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding (22 February 2022 – 5 April 2022)
- Southern Queensland Flooding (6 May 2022 – 20 May 2022).
If you were displaced from your home and paid for accommodation for at least 14 nights, you may be eligible for the flood response rental support grant which can help cover your costs for short to medium term accommodation.
If your home was damaged and remains uninhabitable, or will become uninhabitable while repairs are completed, you may be eligible for a mobile accommodation solution, including:
- moveable accommodation, such as caravans
- tiny homes, moveable homes, pods or manufactured transportable homes on state, local government or private land.
You can apply if:
- you had to vacate your home previously or still need to do so to carry out repairs related to the disaster
- your displacement period isn't covered by insurance.
You will need a digital identity login to apply online.

Extended support for the Flood Response Rental Support Grant
If you received the grant 12 months ago and still need help, you may be eligible for an additional payment.
Eligibility requires:
- Proof your home is still uninhabitable due to repair delays.
- Evidence of financial hardship from combined mortgage and accommodation costs.
