Alcohol, tobacco and other drugs prevention program (ATOD)
Queensland’s Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) services aim to prevent drug use and improve the social and emotional wellbeing of communities.
If your addiction gets you into trouble with the law you may be referred to a diversion program.
Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation for Alcohol and Drug Dependence Services
The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation for Alcohol and Drug Dependence Services (also known as the Jessie Budby Healing Centre) located in Brisbane, offers alcohol and drug education, rehabilitation and counselling services for Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services (TAIHS)
TAIHS run alcohol and drug recovery and rehabilitation services for adults and youth.
Queensland Drug and Alcohol Council
Shanty Creek rehabilitation centre, located in Mareeba, provides residential rehabilitation to Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 18 years and over.
Wunjuada Hostel Rehabilitation Service
Cherbourg’s Wunjuada Hostel Rehabilitation Service offers a place to stay for Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples in a substance use rehab program.
