Safe Night Precinct support services

Support services in 15 designated Safe Night Precincts across Queensland assist vulnerable people and those at risk of harm due to the influence of alcohol.

Mobile patrols monitor public spaces to identify people who may be in distress and de-escalate and calm potential conflict as an early intervention activity.

Rest and Recovery hubs:

  • provide a safe place for intoxicated people to sober-up
  • reduce the risk of harm to members of the public and those who are intoxicated in public places
  • supervise rest and recovery from intoxication
  • frequently monitor clients during their stay for any changes in their mental or physical condition that could indicate the need for medical attention.
