Red Cross Emergency REDiplan

Rediplan

The Red Cross Emergency REDiplan booklet helps people with a disability; their carers and families prepare, respond and recover from disasters.

If you or someone you know has a disability, you can use the REDiplan's step by step approach to assist in:

  • establishing or strengthening your support network
  • being informed of hazards, local support and emergency contacts
  • identifying your specific needs in an emergency and developing your personal emergency plan
  • deciding on appropriate items for your personal emergency kit and evacuation kit.

Created in association with Emergency Management Queensland, the Emergency REDiplan is available in a number of accessible formats, including:

Printed copies are also available at all local libraries in Queensland.

By being better prepared, better connected and aware, communities can be more resilient when disasters occur.
