Holidays and term dates for Queensland state schools are listed below.

Independent schools and Catholic schools base their holidays on the state school dates but these can vary from school to school—check with your school for details.

Some schools in Far North Queensland and Western Queensland start the summer holiday 1 week before other state schools.

    School Watch is a community based awareness and crime prevention program aimed at safeguarding Queensland schools against vandalism, theft and arson.

    We depend on the local community to: Look, Listen and Report. If you see something suspicious outside of school hours or during school holidays, please do not attempt to intervene. Call School Watch on 13 17 88 and let the authorities deal with the matter.
