Opening hours
Queensland State Archives (QSA) is open:
- Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm
- The second Saturday of every month from 9am to 4.30pm (except on public holidays and the Christmas to New Year holiday period).

Location
QSA is in located in Runcorn, approximately 20 minutes south of Brisbane’s Central Business District by car.

Getting here
By car
- Free visitor parking is available on site.
- Follow signs to the visitor car park on arrival.
- Accessible parking spaces are located close to the entrance.
- We also have a dedicated drop off and pick up area.
By bike
- Visitors arriving by bike are welcome to use the bike racks in the visitor car park.
By bus
The following Brisbane City Council bus services stop near QSA:
- Route 150 from Queen Street Bus Station stops at the corner of Gowan and Compton roads, approximately 900 metres from QSA.
- Route 152 from Garden City stops on Eisenhower Street, directly opposite QSA.

By train
The nearest train station is Fruitgrove Station, on Beenleigh Road, between Nursery Road and Persse Road, Runcorn.
The station car park entry is on the Nectarine Street side, near the junction of Mango and Plum Streets. Please check the train timetables before planning your journey.
The walk from Fruitgrove Station to QSA takes about 45 minutes (3.5 kilometres).
Free taxi service
Each Tuesday, a free taxi service between Fruitgrove Station and QSA is available for researchers who have booked.
To use this service, email info@archives.qld.gov.au before 3pm on the Monday before your Tuesday visit.
