Privacy notice

Dispute Resolution Branch, Department of Justice, is collecting your personal information including:

  • your name and contact information
  • information about your employment status and name of employer
  • your statutory indemnity or private professional indemnity
  • your criminal record
  • impairments affecting your professional capacity, including disqualifications from professional practice, complaints about or refusal of your mediation practice/accreditation.

We are collecting your personal information to assess your eligibility to be accredited as a mediator and to contact you about this.

You don’t have to provide this information to us; however, we may not be able to assess your application if you don’t provide it.

We usually disclose this personal information to the AMDRAS board.

Your payment details will be provided to Smart Services Queensland and the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business to process your payment.

We will not give your personal information to anyone else or use your personal information for any other purpose unless we are authorised or required under an Australian law, or a court or tribunal orders us to do so.
