Daniel’s Law website use grows across Queensland
New figures show Queenslanders are continuing to use Daniel’s Law, the State’s first child sex offender register, in strong numbers.
Introduced last year, Daniel’s Law is part of Daniel Morcombe’s legacy and gives parents and carers access to information about convicted child sex offenders, helping families make informed decisions about the safety of their children.

As of 27 October 2026, there had been:
- more than 425,000 visits to the Daniel’s Law Community Protection website
- more than 48,000 Locality Search applications submitted
- 263 Parent and Guardian Disclosure applications submitted
- 23 reportable offenders identified through Parent and Guardian Disclosure applications
- three reportable offenders charged for allegedly breaching reporting obligations.
Detective Acting Chief Superintendent Troy Pukallus said the updated figures highlighted growing community awareness.
“Daniel’s Law and its associated resources are now established as valuable tools for parents, guardians and communities to help safeguard their children while strengthening peace of mind,” Detective Acting Chief Superintendent Pukallus said.
Daniel’s Law website “Daniel’s Law provides police with greater capacity to access and analyse information, implement targeted strategies, and generate intelligence to support investigations.”
The Queensland Government is commitment to safety where you live, and the continued use of Daniel’s Law reflects the importance Queenslanders place on practical measures to help protect children from harm.
Queenslanders are encouraged to use the Daniel’s Law website to access information and resources to keep their children safe.
