Replace, reapply and update your disability parking permit details

I want to:

Replace a disability parking permit

To replace a lost, stolen or damaged disability parking permit you will need to apply for a permit. You don’t need to see your health professional to certify the application or pay the application fee.

Reapply for your disability parking permit

We'll send you a notice in the mail about 6 weeks before your permit expires.

To reapply for your Australian disability parking permit you need to meet the eligibility criteria.

You don’t need to pay the permit fee if you have a 5 year Australian disability parking permit and your application is received within 3 months of the expiry date.

If you have a permit for a temporary condition (6-12 months) you will need to apply as a new applicant when your permit expires. You will need to pay the $19.10 fee.

Download the Australian disability parking permit application (F4814) and complete Section 1.

You can reapply online, in person or by post.

Online

Reapply for your red permit

To reapply for your red permit, you will need to meet the following red permit eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

You must continue to live in Queensland and 1 of the following must apply:

  • your functional mobility is severely impaired as a result of a permanent or temporary loss of the use of one or both legs
  • you have a physical condition that is detrimentally affected as a result of walking 100m.

If you let your red permit expire for more than 3 months, you will need to apply for a new Australian disability parking permit and you won’t be eligible for the red permit again.

Renew an expired permit

You need to apply for a new permit if you let your permit expire. You may get a fine if you continue using an expired permit.
