Services
Women’s Health, Information and Referral Service CQ Inc. (WHIRSCQ) provides free and confidential counselling and support in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and non-discriminatory environment. This service can be accessed face to face, by phone or video counselling. General councelling and support is available to women 14 years and over, including domestic and family violence support and referral information. Sexual violence counselling and support is also available to women and men 12 years and over. This includes recent or historical sexual assault and information and support for family carers and survivors. Outreach is available by appointment to North Rockhampton, Mount Morgan, Yeppoon, Gracemere, Blackwater and Emerald. Other Services include assisting women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by providing shower and laundry facilities, and where possible basic clothing, sanitary items and a meal. WHIRSCQ is proudly affiliated with ‘Share the Dignity’ and accept contributions of sanitary products from the public for distribution to those in need.
