The National Welfare Rights Network (NWRN) is a network of community legal centres throughout Australia which specialise in Social Security law and its administration by Centrelink. Services provided: Independent and confidential legal advice about issues relating to Social Security matters. Advice is obtained through our telephone advice sessions. Assistance and representation may be provided when appealing against Centrelink decisions (within Centrelink and at Tribunals). The Centre also conducts community education and training sessions to community workers about Social Security rights and entitlements. Geographical area covered by the Centre: Coastal and central areas of Queensland, south of Rockhampton to the north coast and northern inland regions of New South Wales. Contact times/days for clients: Telephone advice sessions: Tuesday, 9.30am to 12.30pm and Thursday 4.00pm ? 7.00pm Appointment required or can clients drop in? All initial contacts are done via phone.
