Women in Development (WID) aims to encourage the involvement of women within the development industry and create valuable and meaningful learning and networking opportunities with industry peers. A core objective is to increase the participation of women in all UDIA activities and women's membership in UDIA overall. The UDIA serves a diverse membership, working on behalf of a great range of organisations and individuals who work with and within the development industry. The Institute's membership includes developers, financiers, lawyers, planners, engineers, architects, material suppliers, project marketers, real estate agents, professional consultants, government representatives and students.
