Services

Laurel Place Inc. is a community-based, government funded, free, specialised and confidential Counselling service. We provide counselling, support, information and education relating to sexual violence across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Gympie and South Burnett areas. Specialist sexual assault practitioners hold a range of qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling and Human Services.

The service provides information, counselling and support for anyone who has experienced recent or past sexual assault. The service also provides culturally appropriate support to Indigenous families affected by sexual violence. Counselling is offered to non-offending supporters of people who have experienced sexual assault and for children up to 12 years of ago who display sexualised and/or sexually abusive behaviours. Training and education is available to a variety of groups and organisations.
