Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS) - Darling Downs Women's support service

The team at SASS is committed to offering compassionate, trauma-informed care for those living across the Darling Downs who have experienced sexual violence. SASS is a two-part service. It provides 24/7 support and options for those aged 14 years and over who have experienced a sexual assault in the last seven days (the acute service), and it offers free short-to-medium-term outpatient counselling during business hours (8am-4:30pm) for those aged 14 years and over who have experienced a sexual violence in the last two years (the counselling service). Support from our Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Worker and/or Indigenous Liaison Officers is available within both services to ensure culturally safe care. Addresses: For after hours support following a recent sexual assault, please present to your local emergency department. Business hours service: Kobi Place, Baillie Henderson Hospital, Corner of Hogg and Tor Streets, Toowoomba.
