Our Senior Relationship Mediation Service (SRMS) is a FREE innovative, elder-focused service which aims to empower older persons to plan for the future and make important decisions. The SRMS offers a combination of family mediation and individual support which encourages the interests, rights and personal safety of older persons. The SRMS also seeks to raise community awareness of elder abuse and build relationships with the community to improve older persons’ access to services. The SRMS works with people 65 years and over (or 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons) who are experiencing, or are at risk of experiencing, elder abuse.
