The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is responsible for the registration of life events for Queenslanders. If you need personal identification, such as a birth certificate to get government services, they can help you. It is free to register a birth and it only takes about 20 minutes online. If you do not have any money, check if you are eligible to access a certificate in a hardship situation.
