Phoenix House Women's support service

Services

Phoenix House provides supportive, safe and trusted counselling for women who have a lived experience of sexual assault.
The counselling team also work with children and young people who have been harmed or are at risk of harm and wrap their supports around the family as well. Other supports include:

  • Support through the police and medical processes following sexual assault
  • Information and support for non-offending relatives, carers and supporters
  • A family support worker for Indigenous families
  • Practical support and advocacy at the point of disclosure about sexual violence
  • Phoenix House also attends childcare centres and provides one-on-one sessions to children through the BumbleBees Program. The program is provided for children aged between three to six years who are at risk due to sexual, physical and emotional abuse and neglect, or from living in an environment that is sexualised or violent.
