ACROD is the National Industry Association for Disability Services that is responsible for operating multiple and diverse services to people with disabilities and their families. ACROD is the peak body for the disability industry. ACROD liaises with government at both Commonwealth and State levels on funding and service provision issues, although close contact is also maintained with other departments and agencies on issues including education, employment, tax, income security, access, transport, communications, etc. As well as being an industry association ACROD also advocates on consumer issues in cooperation with peak consumer organisations.
