Umbrella network for many women's organisations such as Zonta, Scope. Lobbying government to advance women's issues. The Council unites associations of women into an organisation for mutual counsel and cooperation to advance the status of humanity. Affiliated organisations cover a wide range of interests including family, social, political, church service, health, urban and rural. The International Council of Women has consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. Executive council meets second every Tues at 10am general meetings 4th Thursday either 10am or 6pm according to syllabus.
