The Living in Harmony initiative is administered by the Department of Home Affairs. Harmony Day on 21 March provides an opportunity for all Australians to: - celebrate our many successes as a diverse and harmonious multicultural society; - re-commit to our common values of respect and goodwill towards our fellow Australians of all backgrounds; to - say 'no' to racism; Harmony day coincides with the United Nations International Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
