Community Health Centre - Gympie Women's support service

Services

Provides a holistic approach to primary health care. Services provided by the centre include: Counselling, education, advocacy support and referral provided by social workers and community health nurses. Child and family health services including antenatal clinics, postnatal screening, home visits, help with breastfeeding, Positive Parenting Program (triple P) and support programs for fathers. 3 school based youth health nurses for Gympie area. Adult community health with specific services for the aged and younger disabled, including allied health assessment and follow through, with home care available. Occupational Therapist. Support groups and referral to support groups for Parkinson's disease, breast cancer support liaison. Alcohol, tobacco and other drugs service, including needle and syringe program, counselling and referral. Podiatrist available to HACC eligible clients. Social Workers ? for HACC clients and family therapy. Integrated mental health service, and child and youth mental health service. Physiotherapist services include; falls prevention, pain management and general assessment Dietician - in home and out reach. Cardiac rehab nurse services including follow-up for cardiac patients, lifestyle education, and information and referral for people at risk. Diabetes support, information and referral Outreach centre at Tin Can Bay. Indigenous health service provided by an Indigenous health worker.
