Information about community alcohol restrictions that apply in Queensland communities.
There are alcohol restrictions in 19 communities across Queensland, which ban or limit the amount and type of alcohol you can take into a community.
It is against the law to go into a restricted area with more alcohol than the carriage limit. Harsh fines and penalties apply.
A 'dry place' is a house where no alcohol is allowed. You can apply to make your house a dry place in some Queensland communities
