Open and transparent government

As an open and transparent government, we make information about our activities available for you in a range of formats, and actively engage in the review and improvement of our integrity and accountability framework.

Open government reform

The Queensland Government is reviewing the legislation, policies and institutions that make up Queensland’s integrity framework. As a first step in this process, the Premier will convene the Open Government Policy Forum in August to explore and discuss a range of integrity and accountability matters.

Accessing information

The Right to Information legislation protects personal information and promotes accountability and transparency in government.

As custodians of community information, we will release government-held information unless we think releasing it is not in the public interest.

Lobbying government

The Integrity Act 2009 came into effect on 1 January 2010. As of this date, the Integrity Commissioner is responsible for administering the Register of Lobbyists.
