Online body corporate training

We have developed a free online training program to provide body corporate members, their committees and industry groups with information and tools to help them to get a better understanding of body corporate legislation.

This course is only a basic introduction to the information that you should know about a body corporate. It provides an overview of topics such as:

Eligibility

The online training course has been designed for committee members however, anyone with an interest in community titles schemes in Queensland can complete the course.

Course outline

The course provides information on key issues for bodies corporate in Queensland and will help you understand the body corporate legislation. However, it is not an accredited course and you will not receive a qualification after completion.

Online assessment

The online assessment course is divided into units. Each unit is divided into topics specific to that unit. Information is given to you that relates to the learning outcomes for each topic.

At the end of each unit, you can complete a unit assessment. If successfully completed, a Statement of Completion can be printed as a record.

Register for the online course

This course is free to all members of the public. After you register for the online course you can begin using the assessment tools. You can complete the course in your own time but you must complete each unit before logging out. If you do not fully complete one unit it will not keep your answers for your next login and you will have to do the assessment again.

Training information

To receive a statement of completion for a unit you must get at least 80% correct.

References to the Act will be defined by a capital A then the section number, for example (A. s55).

References to the Standard Module will be defined by a capital SM then the section number, for example (SM. s109).

We may also give you links to other relevant information, for example other legislation or web pages.

References to adjudicator’s order are written with the scheme name, then a reference to the order number and the year e.g. (Sanctuary Bay-Order. 0012-2005).
