If it’s flooded, forget it

An alarming 29% of Queenslanders have driven through floodwater – putting themselves, their loved ones and rescue crews at risk.

Could you make a poor decision in the heat of the moment? If Queensland roads are flooded do you have a Plan B?

Supporting the Queensland Government’s ‘Get Ready’ message, the most recent campaign to help keep Queenslanders safe is ‘If it’s flooded, forget it’.

This year we are taking the message one step further – imploring Queenslanders to ‘prepare to stay safe’, and plan ahead to avoid being on the road during flood events.

Visit the campaign website to watch the videos and access a range of tools to help develop your Plan B, including a flooded roads map.

Share this important message by talking to your family, friends and co-workers.

Plan now and prepare to stay safe.

‘If it’s flooded, forget it’ was first launched in 2015. The campaign will be on TV and online from November 2016 through to April 2017 to coincide with storm season.
