The $45 million Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund is helping to make sure local sport and active recreation facilities are safe, accessible, inclusive and more efficient.
The program supported new and upgraded facilities to meet local community activity.
There were two categories for eligible projects:
- Inclusive and Accessible – change rooms and amenities that meet universal design principles.
- Safe, Quality and Efficient – field of play and ancillary facilities to meet activity requirements at a community level.
Additional funding of $9.5 million was announced in June 2024 to assist sporting clubs and active recreation organisations to deliver shovel-ready minor infrastructure projects across the state.
If your organisation received funding, you will need to appropriately acknowledge the Queensland Government in any promotion of the project.
