Indexes
Indexes are lists of names and other information that we have transcribed from a selection of registers (lists) in our collection. Indexes only include a small portion of the names mentioned in the archives, so although they are good place to start your research, you may need to do a more extensive search in the ArchivesSearch catalogue.
Search the indexes by choosing an index category below. Enter the name of the person you are looking for and other relevant information (if you have it) under ‘Search by’. If you see a “See image” link in you search results, click on the link to view the archival record online. If your results show an “Add to cart” option, this means you cannot see the record online, but you can order a copy of the record. Click on “Add to cart” to pay for the order and add delivery details.
