Search for your nearest JP or Cdec
Public holiday closures
Some JPs in the Community locations will be closed for the Anzac Day (Thursday 25 April 2024) and Labour Day (Monday 6 May 2024) public holidays.
You can contact the location to ask if a JP or Cdec will be attending, or search the after-hours list to find one outside of the hours listed on this page.
Use this search to find a JP or Cdec at shopping centres, courts, libraries and a variety of other locations, or search for an after-hours JP.
JPs and Cdecs are trained Queenslanders who can witness and certify your routine legal documents. For example, wills, affidavits, statutory declarations and enduring documents.
Do you need to book an appointment to see a JP?
No. The JPs in the Community Program is a walk-in service, no appointment needed.
