Office of Fair Trading media alert – cancelled music festival

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has been advised by the promoters that this weekend’s “Earthcore in the Park” event at Peak Crossing has been cancelled, so ticketholders should be offered a refund.

Ticketholders who purchased tickets via credit card should immediately contact their credit card provider or bank to apply for a charge back. Those who purchased tickets via PayPal should contact PayPal. Those who purchased tickets directly with the promoter, should contact the promoter by email

The terms and conditions allow for a 28 day period for refunds to be provided. Any Queensland consumers who are having difficulty getting a refund after 28 days should contact the Office of Fair Trading on 13 QGOV (13 74 68) or lodge a complaint online at

Ticketholders in other states should contact their local consumer affairs agency.
