Court outcome: Cory Mark Wallace

Cory Mark Wallace who trades as C.Fab Steel Fabrications in Logan has been fined and ordered to pay compensation within three weeks or face a term of imprisonment, after failing to provide goods and services.

The OFT initiated an investigation into the trader after a consumer lodged a complaint as a result of failing to receive a fitted vehicle snorkel from Mr Wallace. The consumer had placed an order in February 2022 for the value of $750.

Mr Wallace had made promises to commence work over several months but failed to do so and did not provide a refund.

Mr Wallace was fined $2,000 plus court costs in the Beenleigh Magistrate Court (12 May 2023). He was also ordered to pay $750 in compensation to the consumer within the next three weeks or he will face imprisonment for a period of eight days.
