Apply for the Policy Futures graduate program

The application process

Applications for the 2023 Policy Futures Graduate program are now closed.

Learn more about each phase, including what you'll need to do and how you can prepare.

Step 1: Apply

What you'll need

• your resume
• your most recent academic transcript
• proof of your Australian citizenship, Australian residency or permission under Commonwealth law to work in Australia.

Step 2: Complete your online testing

You'll be asked to complete verbal, numerical and personality psychometric testing. But don't worry, you'll receive all the instructions you need and an opportunity to do a practice test before you start. The online testing will take approximately 30-45 minutes in total.

Step 3: Record your video interview and do written assessment

You'll complete the video interview and written assessment virtually. More information will be provided closer to the time but, similar to the online testing, you'll get all the instructions and an opportunity to do a test run.

Step 4: Attend an assessment centre

You'll attend a face-to-face or virtual assessment centre which will include:

• completing group activities
• an individual interview.

Step 5: Wait for an offer

If you receive an offer, you'll need to:

• do a pre-employment check and disclosures
• complete commencement paperwork.

The program will commence February 2023.
