About the application process
You must apply with Queensland Health for the registered Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Program.
There are 4 steps in the graduate program application process.
Complete the online application
You only need to complete 1 application, even if you want to apply for more than 1 graduate program.
You need to include your resume (with contact details of 2 referees) and your academic transcript. An unofficial copy of your academic transcript is acceptable at this stage. You do not need to submit a cover letter.
Graduate programs recruit at different times throughout the year. Submit your application form early to ensure you're considered for all graduate programs.
The Queensland Government is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. We encourage people of different backgrounds, experiences and abilities to apply.
Include any support and accessibility requirements in your application. You can contact graduate program coordinators at any point in the application process to talk about support and accessibility needs.
Participate in assessment
If a graduate program is interested in your application, you'll be invited to participate in an assessment process.
Each graduate program has a separate assessment process, so you may participate in different processes for different graduate programs.
Assessment may include:
- psychometric assessment (personality, values or cognitive)
- an online interview
- an assessment centre
- a combination of the above.
Remember to let graduate program coordinators know if you have any support or accessibility needs.
Attend a face-to-face interview
You may be invited to attend a face-to-face interview.
Video and telephone options are available if you live regionally, remotely or outside of Queensland.
