COVID-19 updates

The Queensland COVID Vaccine Plan was announced by the Queensland Premier on 18 October 2021. The plan outlines a staged approach for easing travel-based restrictions once Queensland reaches high vaccination rates.

See current restrictions for impacted areas in South East Queensland. Restrictions for Townsville and Palm Island are the same as for the rest of Queensland.

From 1am AEST Tuesday 19 October 2021, no part of Tasmania will be a declared COVID-19 hotspot.

Queensland has current contact tracing alerts and related public health advice for people who have been in Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and New Zealand.
