Restrictions for cruise ships entering Queensland waters

The Restricting Cruise Ships from Entering Queensland Waters Direction (No.2) has been revoked on 18 April 2022, removing the restriction on cruise ships from foreign ports entering Queensland waters.

This is consistent with the lifting of the ban for Australian waters by the Commonwealth on 17 April 2022.

Following the Commonwealth’s announcement, Queensland has worked in partnership with the Commonwealth, New South Wales and Victoria governments, and the cruising industry to support the return of COVID-safe cruising.
