We know COVID is coming to Queensland so now’s the time to get COVID ready.
No matter where you are or your vaccination status, if you test positive for COVID-19, you will be cared for.
There are a few things you can do to protect yourself and others.
One: get vaccinated.
If you are fully vaccinated, you are less likely to get seriously ill from COVID.
Two: Get a booster shot. Check with your health worker when you can get yours.
Three: Don’t put off your regular medical appointments. Ask your health worker how they’ll look after you if there’s an outbreak.
Four: Use your Check In Queensland app wherever you go.
Five: Link your proof of vaccination to the Check In Queensland app, or print it out. You’ll need to show it to visit a number of venues.
Six: Get tested if you have any COVID symptoms.
Stay at home until you receive your test results.
Seven: Carry a mask with you at all times. Use it when you can’t socially distance.
Eight: Sign up for health alerts at the Queensland Health website.
Nine: Complete a COVID Care Plan in case you need to go to hospital.
Ten: Prepare a COVID-Ready kit in case you need to isolate at home.
And remember to wash your hands your hands often, socially distance, and stay home if you are sick.
