Journey of labour

COVID-19 and labour

The number of support people you can have with you during labour and birth may be limited. It is suggested that you choose someone who can stay with you for the whole time. Your doctor and/or midwife will work with you to provide the best care for you and your baby.

COVID-19 is a new virus and we are still learning how it may affect you and your baby. For the most up to date information please visit the COVID-19 pregnant and breastfeeding women page.

If you think you or a family member might have COVID-19, call 134 COVID (134 268) or your doctor.
