Parks and playgrounds

Outdoor play provides children with a chance to explore, have adventures, and practise social and physical skills. Queensland parks and playgrounds are great places for children to play and learn.

All Abilities Playground Project

The Queensland All Abilities Playground Project ensures all children, including those with disability, have access to playgrounds so they can learn, grow and develop during play. There are 16 All Abilities Playgrounds in Queensland designed with community input to:

  • remove barriers so children with and without disability can play side by side
  • use a range of natural and built environments
  • offer safe but challenging activities.
