    The region has 2 air monitoring stations, measuring the impact from agricultural burning and coal mining operations.

  • Bowen

    There is one government monitoring station collecting meteorological data in the Bowen region.

  • Townsville

    Townsville has 2 air monitoring stations measuring the impact of port and industrial activities.

  • Mount Isa

    There are 2 government monitoring stations and an industry monitoring network in Mount Isa, measuring mainly mining and industrial emissions.
