West Mackay

Established in 1997, the West Mackay station measures the impact of particles from agricultural burning on residential areas in the region.

The station was originally located in a light industrial area in West Mackay until May 2012, but is now on the western outskirts of Mackay, closer to the agricultural areas.

Established in March 2011, the Moranbah station measures particle levels to assess the impact of coal mining operations in the Moranbah community and surrounding area.
