Habitat type: Low open woodlands dominated by a variety of species including beefwood, wattle (Acacia) species, Terminalia species or Cochlospermum species.

Description: This vegetation type occurs on rocky limestone hills, relict sand plains and alluvial plains.  The very sparse canopy is a mixture of these frequently occurring low trees Terminalia aridicola, bastard sandal wood (Eremophila mitchellii), whitewood (Atalaya hemiglauca), ebony tree (Lysiphyllum carronii), L. cunninghamii, Corymbia terminalis, beefwood (Grevillea striata), cotton tree (Cochlospermum gillivraei), C. gregorii, ironwood (Erythrophleum chlorostachys), leopardwood (Flindersia maculosa) and ironwood (Acacia excels). The very sparse shrub layer frequently includes conker berry (Carissa lanceolata), Petalostigma banksii, quinine tree (P. pubescens), myrtle tree (Psydrax oleifolia), Denhamia cunninghamii, blue bush (Santalum lanceolatum), nipan (Capparis lasiantha), lolly bush (Clerodendrum floribundum), Gardenia vilhelmii and Grevillea mimosoides.
