Project summary

The Boreelum Carbon Project is a 15 year, $1.24 million collaboration between the Queensland Government and AgriProve Pty Ltd, to rejuvenate the health of soil and native vegetation ecosystems across the property, improve herd productivity and reduce the environmental footprint of farming operations as a whole.

Located south of Gladstone, the Boreelum Carbon Project will run two individual soil carbon projects alongside an environmental planting and beef herd carbon project in a unique ‘stacked’ approach. Through the carbon projects, the property owners aim to build soil health by planting with multi-species pasture mixes, regenerate the native vegetation and improve the overall emissions intensity of their farming operation.
