  • Leave copies of your travel documents and credit card details with someone at home
  • Check recommended vaccinations and medicine laws for each country you are visiting
  • Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity from your planned date of return to Australia
  • Leave a copy of your travel itinerary with someone at home and keep in regular contact with friends and relatives while overseas
  • Research whether holding dual nationality will affect your travel
