Becoming a Skills Assure supplier

A registered training organisation (RTO) must be a Skills Assure supplier (SAS) to deliver training for any of the Queensland Government’s funded vocational education and training programs as detailed in the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training’s VET investment budget.

Application process

RTOs looking to become a SAS must meet the eligibility requirements to apply for SAS status in Queensland.

To apply for SAS status, RTOs must complete and submit a SAS application for the funding program they are seeking to deliver.

Applications are assessed against a number of criteria.

What happens next

SAS status is granted upon approval of an RTO's application and subsequent execution of the agreement by the department.

The RTO will be notified in writing of the department's decision.

The department will publish the RTO’s details on the Queensland Skills Gateway as an approved SAS, along with the list of approved qualifications.

Fees

There are no application fees or annual registration fees directly associated with the SAS system.

Audits

RTOs with SAS status are subject to audits by the department against the requirements of the SAS policy and the requirements polices of the relevant funding program policies.
