Parent-teacher communication

You can contact your school to speak with a teacher or the principal, or to ask about school activities.

The school office is always a good place to start.

All schools have a website that should list their contact details. To find your school’s website phone 13 QGOV (13 74 68) or search the schools directory.

Some schools will list email addresses and may encourage communication that way.

Formal school reports are given at least once a semester and you should discuss your child's learning progress with their teacher. You can also discuss your child's school report and assessment results with the principal.

Most schools will have organised parent–teacher sessions to facilitate this around report time. Check your school website and newsletters for the timing of parent–teacher interviews.
