Startups in Parliament

Startups in Parliament event, held at Queensland’s Parliament House, will showcase to MPs the important contribution entrepreneurs and startups make to the global and state economy—leading to job creation, innovation, and investment attraction.

The event will provide an opportunity for members of the Queensland Parliament to meet entrepreneurs and startups and gain an understanding of the startup experience, including how the sector accesses much needed funding and resources.

The event will be opened by Queensland’s Minister for Science and Innovation Leeanne Enoch and will include presentations from a range of existing startups and entrepreneurs.

The Queensland Government is strongly committed to encouraging entrepreneurship and supporting startups focused on developing innovative products and services to create the wealth generating industries of the future.

The government is delivering a number of important initiatives to assist early stage businesses and researchers to turn their brilliant ideas into commercial realities, including vital early stage funding through the $40 million Business Development Fund.
